It is discovered in the 40s and is a spontaneous mutation of the Havana Mandarin: a new variety that ripens later, from February to April.
It is characterized by a thin skin of intense orange color, slightly adherent to the segments and which is easily detached from the pulp. The fruit has a round shape flattened at the poles and is very rich in juice.

Similar to their Moro relatives, Sanguinello Oranges are characteristic for their intense sweet flavor, their lively color and their spherical and ovoid shape. Their pigmented pulp is seedless and dark red in color, therefore perfect for tasty and sweet juices.
